Dear POTR Friends & Supporters (aka Rockers!),
We’re excited to announce our 5th annual Percussion on the Rock Festival, happening August 11–15! As always, we look forward to welcoming an incredible community of percussion students, enthusiasts, and world-class faculty for a one-of-a-kind celebration of percussion, creativity, and positivity.
This year, we are seeing our strongest participation yet—even with the early registration deadline still three weeks away. Scholarship interest from out-of-state students has been especially high, with applicants from Texas, Illinois, and Ohio, alongside strong participation from Washington State.
We’ve worked hard to keep tuition as affordable as possible, despite the unique travel costs and logistics of getting to beautiful Whidbey Island—which, in our opinion, is absolutely worth the trip!
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we are close to reaching our fundraising goal. We are currently seeking an additional $5,000 to help cover several important festival expenses, including:
● Out-of-state student tuition assistance/scholarships and housing
● Faculty travel support and artist funding
● Truck rental and transportation needs
● Repertoire and music materials
● Morning Munchies & Pizza for Participants (because drummers get hungry!)
Contributions make a meaningful difference, helping us to accomplish our goals of making the world a better place through drumming, music, inclusivity & life-long learning.
